Welcome to

Midwest Art Catalyst

The outpouring of community at the 2010 Post Holiday Extravaganza spawned the creation of the Midwest Art Catalyst (MWAC). With the help of my nearest and dearest. a non-profit organization was formed, with the goal to create, promote, and support artistic / musical events and ideas. In addition to donating to local art and music programs, we also sponsor fundraisers for individual causes. Our goal is to bring the community’s creatives closer together, thus making us all a bit stronger and more inspired. Get on board! MWAC is for everyone who needs a little creative stimulation to complete their lives.

Thanks for life…
Edgar Burn aka Eric Barnes

The goal of the Midwest Art Catalyst is to support the growth of the arts community in our area. We hold fundraisers to fund art and music programs in our local public schools and to provide art to the greater community. We’re always looking for new ideas!

Edgar Burn

This guy. He’s the one that made this organization happen. He has supported the arts within our region for so long it has inspired all of us to make this bigger and better every year. Edgar’s passion for the arts makes him the heart and soul of our little non-profit.

Megan Dell

Megan is an internationally recognized tattoo artist who enjoys painting taxidermied bears, throwing frisbees for her dog Eddie, and raising a beautiful, perfect, obedient snake named Hillary. But seriously, she has a laser focus. Her drive keeps us all moving forward and upward.

Gina Abbas

With a heart of gold and red hair as majestic as the sun, Gina's super natural organizational skills play a key part of holding us all together. We couldn't pull off Post Holiday Extravaganza without her!

Jake Downs

Jake is a major component of the beloved Mankato establishment -- the NaKato. Jake has lent this awesome venue to us for the several years to kick off the Post-Holiday Extravaganza. He also makes the most kick-ass garlic parmesan sauce. Ever.

Kelly Bunde

Kelly is our go to. For everything. This lady gets it done! With her being  a rockstar tattoo artist, mom, and amazing person we are always amazed at how we got to be so lucky to have her on our board! She’s like Mankato’s Beyonce. Honestly.
